Looking for a Multi-Cloud Management Tool

August 2, 2012

Recently, one of the users in a LinkedIn group I subscribe to asked the question “does anyone make a multi-cloud management tool”? The timing of this question could not have been better.

As discussed in my “sneak peek” article on Monday, we are in the final stages of development on our next-gen cloud. A topic I did not cover was our single sign-on (sso) portal, which will allow users to log into the portal and then safely launch their cloud products without having to log in again.

Of course – we when set out to build our SSO solution we only had our cloud in mind. Although the LinkedIn user brings up a valid point that we should explore. Should we design multi-cloud functionality into our portal?

Perhaps we should open our portal sso feature up to more than just a multitude of clouds. Maybe we should include popular websites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and so on. I am curious as to what you think. Please let us know.
